Anesthesia

intensivists. We can never forget the highly advanced anesthesia machines, ventilators and monitors which are going hand in hand with the equipments in highly qualified western hospitals.
The operations performed varies from general surgery, bariatric operations for management of obesity, neurological operations, ophthalmic operations, urological operations, obstetric and gynecological operations, as well as IVF ….etc.
The anesthesia department in the time being consists of 5 consultants who are highly qualified and has a long experience in the different modalities of anesthesia and pain control.
There are also 5 anesthesia technicians who are qualified and can help the anesthesia consultants in their work. Whatever the medical condition of our patients we can be sure that the best care will be offered to them. This is our mission and responsibility. Also whatever the age of these patients which ranges from one day to 100 years we can deal with and give them the best care to ensure the performing of their operations in a highly professional way.
The recovery room where the patient is moved to after the end of his operation is a part of our anesthetic care where the patient is receiving the best care under highly experienced anesthetists and nurses. This room is equipped with a very sophisticated monitors monitoring the general condition of the patients after operation to ensure that these patients can be safely send back to their room with no complications at all.
We can never forget the great role played by the anesthesia clinic running for 2 hours daily in the OPD where an anesthesia consultant is present examining the scheduled patients for operations, evaluating their medical conditions, discussing their condition with the referred surgeon as well as any specialized physician as cardiologist or nephrologist and so on according to the situation to be sure that these patients will be given the best care during their operations. The mode of anesthesia whether general, regional or local is discussed with the patients in the clinic to clarify any risk and to ensure the safety of these patients
